Due to Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, the Department of Education through the supervision of the Philippine Government declared two extra holidays for the month of November. The six-day break of the students in NCR will start from November 17 to 20 plus the weekend. PH Government came up with this decision for the safety of the economic leaders from 21 member-states.

It is also to ensure that roads in Metro Manila will be passable during this big event. A nice strategy to let the representatives see that Philippines is a potential country to invest to.
